When I click on the download link...nothing happens, what is wrong ? You may not have a pdf file format reader installed on your computer.
Most newer computers come with them pre-installed. The most well known in
the Adobe Reader, but we prefer the free Foxit Reader, it is
a smaller program and not as aggressive about cramming your computer with
tons of Adobe stuff. Go to www.foxitsoftware.com/downloads/
and click on the free .exe program. If you are at work or on a school
computer, you may need to ask your IT dept to approve any .exe program
install.
If you really want the Adobe Reader
instead, go
here , but you had better look carefully and un-check that Adobe Photo
Album Starter check box or you might regret it later on.
If you click a link and nothing happens:
We suggest you refresh your browser and clear your cache. If you are unable to click on a link, we suggest you copy and paste it into your web browser address bar or you can just type it in.
To to flush the DNS cache in your computer
- Click on the Start menu, and then click Run.
- In the Open box, type cmd, and click OK.
- A window will open up. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
ipconfig /flushdns
- You should now see the following message: "Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache"
- Close the command window.

If you are having trouble reaching other sites, you may also need to contact your ISP for further help.
How do I export my Scrapbook
Set graphics to use in another program?
We have made a separate
page with instructions for exporting our graphics -- Click
Here
How do your Graphics Sets
work?
Our graphic sets are now available in PDF form. You can either view them
in your browser or download and save them to your computer. You can print
as many pages as you like, as often as you want.
Why is there an unprinted
border on my pages when I print?
Most inkjet printers leave an unprinted margin.
This is so the insides of the printer won't get gunked up with ink. You can look in your
printer's manual to see what the minimum margin your printer allows. If you look at the
layout examples on our site, you can see how we trimmed the unprinted margins and
mounted
the printed backgrounds on solid acid free construction paper in a color that compliments
the layouts or the photos. The margin makes no difference on the pages with cut-out items
like page titles, alphabets, etc. The new printers print edge to edge. They are photo quality and are
getting great reviews. These same printers often have archive quality inks available. I
can personally recommend the Canon i550. Low price--great quality.
Can I print as many copies as
I want?
Yes, you can print as many copies of each page
as you want. You can print in full size, or print a page in a smaller % to use as a photo
frame, etc. later. You can also print in your printers economy or
draft mode to get a pastel version of a page.
I am having trouble
viewing/downloading the set with AOL, what should I do?
f you use AOL, click here for more info on what
you can do that helps and be thinking about switching to a real internet
service provider like AT&T, Earthlink, Mindspring, RoadRunner, etc.
I am having printing
problems, what can I do?
Certain brands and models of printers require
you to change your printer properties from portrait to landscape-seems
backwards, but it works! You get the 'Properties' button when you go to print. Click it
and choose 'Settings'. Change from 'Portrait' to 'Landscape'. You might be asked to click
'Apply' or 'OK' next.
I can't find the file I
downloaded, what do I do?
If you are using AOL, your file may be in the
Download Manager folder, or My Downloads or something similar. To
move it, select the file, right click choose COPY....go to where you want it to be and
right click on a blank spot....choose PASTE. You can also use the Windows
Find Files or Folders function to find files. Go to the Start button, click,
choose Find, then, Files or Folders and type in what you guess to be the first part of the
file name. I usually use logical names, like wedding1, wedding2, etc. Just put the first
part of what the set name is and click Find Now. You do not need to put the entire name
in, it will find all files containing whatever part of a name you put in. Use lower case.
Will these sets fit on a
floppy diskette?
No, the file size is too large to fit on one
diskette. They will fit on a Zip or Jaz disk. There are some freeware programs on the
Internet that will allow you to save a large file to multiple diskettes but we have not
tried them out with our sets. Most of our scrapbook sets are from 2 to 4 MB. If you have a
CD writer, make a copy on a CD.
Can I use these designs in
cards, etc that I sell for a profit?
Yes, as long as you give credit somewhere on
the item to www.ScrapbookScrapbook.com. Putting it on the tag is OK. Do not print the page
designs to sell as complete scrapbook or rubberstamping graphic pages. That is not allowed.
See Terms of Use
for more information.
Is inkjet ink waterproof?
No, for the regular kind,
but you can spray your pages with a product like Blair Spray Fix, which is available in
all art departments of stores or on the web at art supply vendors like DickBlick, etc. if
you think water is going to be a problem for you. You can even spray them with Krylon
Clear Enamel, but do that outside. Epson and other printer & paper companies now have
newer archive inks and papers made for the photography industry that are
waterproof. Search a good search engine like www.Google.com for waterproof
ink + inkjet or water resistant ink + inkjet or archive
paper+ink
I want to scan my photos and
use your graphics to print completed scrapbook pages - do I need another
program to do this?
Yes, you do. You may already have one
that come free with your computer. Go to the Start Button, click Programs and follow
the path across to see what programs are in your list. Open programs from this list by
clicking on them. If you do not have a graphics program, download one of these award
winning free or shareware graphics programs. Ultimate
Paint or Ultimate FX. You can choose the free ad supported or small ad-free charge
versions.
I use a MAC, will your
graphics work?
