How to Take Better Photographs-4: Tips and Examples

More Things to Keep in Mind

In warm humid weather......

If you come from an air conditioned area into the hot, humid outdoors, your camera will get condensation on the lens and possibly on the internal parts that will affect your photographs.

I walked outside on a hot summer day on the Gulf Coast and took a photo of my new blow up swimming pool. It is easy to see the condensation that immediately formed on the lens of my camera.  By allowing the camera to sit on the porch for a few minutes and reach the same temperature as the outside air before I turned it on, I was able to take a nice clear photo. Here in the South on humid days, our sunglasses also fog-up when we walk out of air-conditioned buildings or get out of cars.
